That’s right, today’s “Unnecessary Censorship” is Sesame Street: Come and Play edition.

Feist is a pretty catchy song, but its lyrics don’t really appeal to children learning to count.
The song was also rewritten as a counting song for the 39th season of Sesame Street, in which Feist counts chickens, monsters, and penguins to 4.

Big Bird is a full-body Muppet, featured on the children’s television show Sesame Street, which airs on PBS.
The man behind Big Bird is, and has been, Caroll Spinney since 1969. Caroll also does the voice for Oscar the Grouch in Sesame Street.
