On Saturday 7th NOV 2009, 21-year-old Saudi striker Nawaf Al Abed scored what papers in the Kingdom are claiming to be the fastest goal ever recorded in a professional football match. The incident took place in the match between Al Hilal and Al Shoalah, which ended 4-nil to the hosts in the Prince Faisal bin Fahad Cup, with the goal officially clocked at two seconds.
The sophomore midfielder set the NCAA record for the fastest goal scored in a collegiate women’s soccer game netting the first goal just four seconds into the match.

Ryan Rosenbaum of SMU men’s soccer scores from 95 yards out in the 63rd minute of SMUs 3-2 upset victory at No. 16 Tulsa on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The goal was the first of Rosenbaums career, and put the Mustangs up 3-1 in the game.
