When Apple announced its iPhone on January 9th, 2007, did you know that several companies also made some announcements as well?
It’s true. These companies include Microsoft, Nokia, and Blackberry.

This video shows you can happens to your PC if you type goggle.com instead of google.com into your browser.
Granted, your computer must be really old and unprotected, but it’s still pretty scary.

A few days ago, Apple released its iPhone that combines communication with music and video in a sleek little package.
The iPhone does have several shortcomings like its exclusive Cingular contract and its very steep price tag.

Here we are! The #1 Wii game of 2007! Sorry for the late post. We left earlier than I hade hoped, but I managed to use my friend’s computer to ensure that the Top 10 is finished…don’t want to get a reputation of being a no-show…
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the latest installment in Nintendo’s flagship fighting series. It has been confirmed that Brawl will support some network features and Internet play (Wi-Fi). Brawl is also the first Super Smash Bros. game that features at least one character from a franchise not owned by Nintendo with the inclusion of Solid Snake from Konami’s Metal Gear series. This opened the floodgates for rumours of other 3rd-Party entrants (Sonic the Hedgehog, anyone??).
Although it was not available as a launch title, to the disapointment of many, SSBB will finally be arriving in 2007. Let the mayhem, continue!

Hey everyone! I’m posting #3 and #2 on the countdown today, because I will be leaving tomorrow to visit family for New Years, and thus will not be here on Sunday to post #1 as I has planned. Instead, I will post #1 tomorrow before I head out.
At #2 is a game that Nintendo Power ranked #1 on their list of Top 10 Announced Wii Games. Super Mario Galaxy is the latest installment in the Mario series, as well as the first Mario title for the Nintendo Wii. It should be noted that “Super Mario Galaxy” is only the working title for the game.
After Princess Peach is kidnapped by an unknown villain (Bowser??), Mario must follow the culprit all the way into outer space. Once there, Mario finds a world very different from the Mushroom Kingdom. Some of the areas are spherical, allowing Mario to travel completely around them, while others are flat. Super Mario Galaxy looks to re-invent the franchise with a new control scheme and a whole new way to play.

We’re down to the top 3 on our countdown of the best games coming to the Wii in 2007. At #3 is a game that made a major splash at E3, but since then has fallen into obscurity a bit. Nevertheless, Project H.A.M.M.E.R. looks to be a winner, with its great graphics…and giant hammer!
That’s right. Basically, the game involves you swinging around a gigantic hammer and smashing things. Judging from past experiences, once the big N has a franchise that does well (and they almost always do), they proceed to tweak and upgrade and improve them over several iterations. If Project H.A.M.M.E.R is going to be Nintendo’s new franchise, they must think it’s going to impress the masses.
Take a look at this game for yourself by clicking below for some in-game footage.

Number 4 is a sequel to a GameCube game that many had high aspirations for, but in the end fell short. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers from Square-Enix hopes to rectify the mistakes of its brethren when it lands on the Wii in 2007.
The Crystal Bearers will be among the first RPG titles for the Wii. Practically nothing is known about the game at this point, but it’s made by Square-Enix, and it uses the Wiimote, so expectations are sky high.

At #5 on my list is a fairly obvious choice for my Top 10; it’s Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
Metroid has always managed to deliver immersive gameplay, whether it is in the form of sidescrollers or first-person shooters. Fans were skeptical at first when Prime was announced for the GameCube. Luckily, not only did Retro Studios manage to pull it off, they also created a game that was placed alongside the GCN elite. Can they do it again? Mitchell, says yes.
Nintendo has stated several times that the Wiimote’s purpose is to act as an extension of the player’s arm / canon. Needless to say, expectations for Corruption are very high. The 360’s lineup of shooters are tough to contend with. Can Metroid Prime 3 hold a candle to Gears of War? We’ll find out sometime next year.
For now, click below to enjoy the Metroid Prime 3 trailer.
