This week’s poll was a little bit disappointing. Obviously, I was a little bit optimistic about the number of people who would participate because I predicted 250 votes, but only 139 voted. :(

It was also disappointing in that longer answers get jumbled up with the numbers on the right. This means that the interesting questions that I promised will have to wait until I can figure out how to get the numbers out of the way.

But if you have ideas for some questions you’d like to ask Sangent readers, then by all means, post them in the comments.

Last week’s poll was pretty interesting, though. I predicted that I have about 55% North American readers, and I was very close with 53% of you being from US or Canada. What was even more interesting is that I have 1 Australian reader but 11 scientists/penguins from Antarctica.

This week’s poll asks for your age. I didn’t want to leave anyone out, so I included all possible ages from newborn babies to the world’s oldest person. Here are my predictions:

1) 0 - 12: 20%
2) 13 - 17: 30%
3) 18 - 24: 25%
4) 25 - 36: 10%
5) 37 - 45: 2%
6) 46 - 60: 1%
7) 61 - 75: 1%
8) 76 - 100: 1%
9) 101 - 128: 10%

I’m gonna go with a more conservative estimation of 145 voters this time.

Oh yeah, don’t forget to vote on Mitchell’s web-comic poll.

Hey everyone! I’ve decided to re-invigorate an idea posted on here by Sangent User “Phil” a while back, by creating the “Weekly Web-Comic Roundup”. Every Saturday, I will post links to various gaming web comics around the net, and allow you to vote for a winner. To make your pick, simply make your selection in the poll below. Voting will close on Wednesday, and the winning comic will be posted on the site that day. So, without further introduction, here are some of the weeks best comics:

“Seven Words” (Monday Night Crew)

“The Long Tail…” (ExtraLife)

“Butts” (Super Effective)

“A Different Directive” (2P Start)

“Those Words” (Ctrl+Alt+Del)

For those of you who haven’t noticed, I’ve added a ‘tag cloud’ to the site. Each video is tagged with short phrases or words that describe that video. If you’ve ever uploaded a video to YouTube, you know what tags are.

A tag cloud is a jumble of those tags where the size of each tag is determined by how many times that particular tag has been assigned to posts. In this case, 45 words are shown out of a possible 2496 tags with the most used tag being ‘real hustle.’ The tag cloud is, of course, temporary as I’m constantly adding new videos to the site (with the help of Mitchell).

Oh yeah, it’s on the right side below the ‘latest comments.’

Hey guys, I was trying out something new with the games section yesterday, and I managed to make it work, but in the process, I killed just about every games page from loading.

Anyway, everything works perfectly fine now. Sorry for the inconvenient. :)

I browse the internet with an ad blocker, so I don’t see ads on my site or any other site for that matter.

When I turned it off and visited my site to see what people who aren’t running an ad blocker sees, I realized that I was running an ad that completely takes over the screen for about 7 seconds. While these ads are lucrative, I don’t like them, so I’m not going to subject any of you guys to them.

By the way, I’m using Firefox 3.0.1 with Adblock Plus.

UPDATE: It turns out that the annoying full page ads are not really gone. I’m trying my best fix this, so please bear with me.
