The pistol shrimp is a small animal, but it is one of the loudest animals in the ocean.
Their claws are responsible for producing such loud noises. As its claw snaps, it fires a blast of bubbles that reaches up to 5000 K (8,540 degrees Fahrenheit or 4 727 degrees Celsius) that can stun its prey from a distance.
