I don’t play soccer, but I would do something like this to score a goal when I was young.
Watch the striker standing right behind the goalie.

i play soccer, and i’ve never seen that before, but im pretty sure its illegal.

I used to ref soccer. Because the ball was out of the goalies control, it was legal. It became out of his control when he set the ball on the ground. at that point it becomes a live ball, and you can do anything within the normal rules again. and the offensive player was not offsides, because it was never passed to him.

wow, i never knew this was legal. i guess pro players don’t need to resort to this technique to score goals
