In baseball, a beanball is a pitch, similar to a brushback pitch but actually intended to hit the batter it is thrown at, often in the head. It is rarely used as a strategic weapon, and mostly used to vent anger and frustration.

This video shows what happens when a pitcher throws one of these at 95 miles per hour (or about 153 kilometers per hour), with and without a helmet.

I wanted to see one thrown at a coconut with a helmet, but unfortunately, they didn’t show that.
