Guitar hero 3 is awesome, just as much as it is punishingly difficult, here are the hardest songs in the game you will face, and why they are so hard, these ratings are all based on the songs played on expert difficulty
- Knights of Cydonia - Muse
A verse that makes your wrist cry for mercy, and a solo that can trip anybody up - Cult of Personality - Living Color
Come on, that solo makes even the best of us shit ourselves when it comes down the screen - Stricken - Disturbed
Chord progressions that, while cool, also give you instant carpal tunnel - Before I forget - Slipknot
Ugh, those chords just make you want to punch someone, and a bridge thats ENTIRELY MADE OF CHORDS - Raining Blood - Slayer
Seriously, its just mad hard - Cliffs of dover - Eric Johnson
The whole song is one giant solo, and no hammer -on sequences lasting longer than 2 notes doesnt make it any easier - The Number of The Beast - Iron Maiden
The solo will kill most anybody, and the verse aint exactly a walk in the park either - One - Metallica
Dont be fooled by the easy as hell intro, once those fast chords start going, you will begin to cry, and you havent even reached the solo yet - Through the Fire and Flames - DragonForce
I still ponder to this very day why DragonForce even bothers calling parts of their songs anything other than “solos”. Seriously, the intro requires seven fingers, and this song really is just a six minute long solo that would make any guitarist cry for mercy - The Devil Went Down To Georgia - Steve Ouimette
oooooh boy, this is a big one, solos that never end, verses that pass without a single chord, and everything strung togethor leaving you no “easy” section to get your score back up, dont attempt this song unless you are prepared to bow before the god of rock himself and beg never to have to play this song again
Ill bet they will release even harder songs after this is posted, but i dont think i want to imagine what they look like untill i meet them face to face

hmmm, Personally id order these songs as…..
4.One - Metallica(just use star power and hope like hell u get thru the beginning of the solo, Slayers Solo u cant fluke thru like this one)

Dude, I agree that Through the Fire and the Flames is an unbelieveably hard song. Once you get past the ridiculously hard Intro (if you CAN get past it), the rest is all pretty much down hill, untill the twin solos, that is…
But have you even played The Devil Went Down To Georgia?
The whole thing is one INSANE solo that seems to have no end. And just like it states above, There is absolutly NO “easy” part to get your Rock Bar back up. Not even star power will save you on this one…

Azure, You can download song for the Battle with Lou off Xbox LIVE Marketplace for free. the song is the same thing as the battle, only you have to play both yours and Lou’s solos.

Why is Stricken on that list? It’s not really that hard compared to the other songs. Also, haven’t people played the bonus songs? How about “Take this life”? It’s ridiculous! I’ve beaten All songs on the list above (on expert) except for Through the Fire and the Flames and The Devil Went Down to Georgia, but I can’t get past 5% of Take this Life. “The Way it Ends” is also notably hard (I haven’t beat it either).

Get an xbox360 or PS3 and download When devil went down to georgia, the downloaded song is by far the hardest.

Sean, F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. isn’t that hard. You just have to pluck individual notes kind of quickly. Its very tiring, but if you can strum evenly for a long time, that makes it a lot easier.

I find “Raining Blood” and “The Number of the Beast” the hardest. Somehow I got 5s on both “One” and “Cliffs of Dover” the first time–I have no idea how, I think I was in the zone or something.

Personaly, Devil Went Down to Georgia IS harder than DragonForce, since you do the part of both guitars, i have NOT been able to pass this song, but i did pass DragonForce. Then again, thats just me:twisted:
