The 2007 Trinity vs. Millsaps football game featured one of the most spectacular finishes in a college football game.
On October 27, 2007, NCAA Division III Trinity University Tigers threw 15 lateral passes and scored a 61–yard touchdown to win a game against Millsaps Majors as time expired in the game. It has been referred to as the “Mississippi Miracle” by many media outlets. ESPN columnist Pat Forde wrote, “It has to be the longest play in college football history, timing out at 1 minute and 2 seconds.”
