A wingman, by definition, is a guy you bring along with you on singles outings (like to bars) that helps you out with the women.
Usually, a wingman is someone who will chat with an ugly chick in the group, thus making the hotty accessible for the friend.
The case is quite different in this video, but it’s the same concept.
