Hmmm, looks like the explosion came from under the road rather than a mortar shell, which would cause a firey explosion.

i disagree with mattski becuase if you watch it closely you can catch a quick glimpse of the mortar coming down

Definetly a mortar. Explosions only have big fiery clouds in hollywood movies, they’re just impractical as a weapon.
