Sangent

Hello Sangent readers! My name is Phill and I’ve recently been browsing alot of online profiles and finding plenty of interesting webcomics. The problem is that not all of these comics are given due credit and many people may not know where to go to see more of these comics or any information about the writers behind the comic. Well, I’ve decided that after reading many different comics for the past few weeks that I want to start doing a weekly comic update with my pick from a few select ones and also maybe a little background info on some of my favorites.

Here’s where you come in… My current library of webcomics isn’t quite as expansive as I would like it to be, and I need you the reader to suggest some webcomics that you might already be reading to add to my list. Also, If you have any suggestions or any ideas for the weekly update, please let me know. Any commentary whatsoever would be appreciated – Drop me a line at Phillip_Lorren@yahoo.com — Ok So lets get to it

This week I’m going to select one comic each from four strips that I read often. You can see the homepage of each of these comics by hovering your mouse over the Images. If you dont care for my commentary, feel free to just scroll through and enjoy the comics. I’m not using thumbnails mainly so that you the reader can scroll through all these comics without having to keep clicking. That said, Please Maximize your web browser so you can view these comics in their entirety.

For this first update, I’m going to highlight a comic that I believe everyone should know. Everyone has seen at least one of these somewhere, Cyanide and Happiness is definately a webcomic that shouldn’t go unnoticed. The guys over at explosm.net sure know how to put together a nice and sometimes controversial comic with wit and colorful stick figures. I’ll go into more detail about these guys as I post more comics, as I definately appreciate their work, and they are one of the first webcomics that I started reading on a regular basis. Also this week, another comic I have found to be quite entertaining is a self-proclaimed “webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language”. XKCD always has quite an interesting twist on some everyday activites or some interesting math problem interpretations.

Some Might not call this next website a webcomic so much as a bunch of fake mathematics on index cards. I personally find this next webcomic to be one of the more thought-provoking ones around the web today as many of the comics involve Venn Diagrams, Graphs, and mockeries of other mathematical and structural designs. Don’t let all those big words scare you away from it though, its quite witty, and highly updated. Here’s my pick of the week from Indexed.

Finally to wrap up this week in webcomics, I’m going to select a strip from a comic called Sinfest. I haven’t looked into this comic as much as I have the others, but it has definately captivated my interest. It has a strong angels and devils theme wrapped within a humorous casing.

I hope you enjoyed these, they certainly brighten up my internet experience. If you have any more ideas for the weekly webcomic update, or a webcomic that you would suggest that I add to my list, or you just want to contact me, send an e-mail to Phillip_Lorren@yahoo.com. I really would appreciate feedback as it will determine what I decide to do with the space in between the comics I display for you. If you want me to provide background information, display more of my favorite picks, or have any other ideas, I would love to hear them. Enjoy the weekend!
