It’s January 4th, 2007. The Edmonton Oilers vs the Dallas Stars. Dallas is leading 5-4 in the 3rd period. Edmonton has pulled their goalie and there are 30 seconds left on the clock.

Patrick Stefan of Dallas steals the puck in the Edmonton zone and skates towards the empty net at a slow, mocking pace. When he gets about a few inches away, he finally decided to shoot. What happens next is nothing short of divine intervention.
