The Nintendo Wii, expected to be released this later this year (which happens to be when my birthday is), has one great feature: the Wii remote, or the Wiimote.
The Wiimote may be used as a handheld pointing device and can detect motion and rotation in three dimensions which makes increases gaming possibilities. Check out some of these rejected games for the Wii.
