Bush was standing before an unscreened audience at Kansas State University answering some questions and talking about mountain biking, his dog, and his unpleasant experience of running into a garage door. You know, just like a real president.
In the middle of this event, a student had to nerve to ask the president about why $12.7 billion was cut from education. How did he handle this? Exactly the way you handled situations when you were 5: asking your parents or superior to repeat the question so that you’ll have more thinking time and promptly denying any accusations.
