TAMPA, Fla. — It was a case of unintended sex education.
Two Florida middle school teachers quit after students reported seeing them having sex in a classroom.
Schools officials in Tampa said that Frances Sepulveda and Bryant Wilburn turned in their resignations.
They were teachers at Coleman Middle School.
Two students, a boy and girl, told administrators they saw the teachers having sex in a locked classroom.
The window had been covered with paper, but the kids could still see inside.
A spokesman for the Hillsborough County school district said the teachers showed appallingly bad judgment.
Officials said the teachers at first denied the allegations, but later said they had sex during school hours on one or two occasions.
School officials said they were sending state officials their investigation.
State officials will determine if the teachers will be allowed to work in other schools.
