Most of us have heard of the argument for both sides: the egg comes first because the chicken has to hatch from the egg, and the chicken comes first because the chicken lays egg. However, some scientists, philosophers, and chicken farmers from England have come to the conclusion. What do you think their answer was?

well, no, it’s not supposed to be a chicken egg. An ostrich egg can’t hatch into a chicken, according to these people, because an individual’s genes don’t change in a lifetime.

look, the egg had to come first. Chickens have evolved from older beings. As the chickens evolved, they changed size and shape, so our modern day chicken is largely different from the original bird. Since the chickens are so different, they become incompatible and unable to reproduce with eachother tecnically making them members of different species. This means that the first chicken reaches back only as far as the earliest compatible chicken which had to be and egg first because it was laid by a previous chicken-like-bird.

THE answer is: Hen.
Chickens can’t lay eggs but Hens can and the egg must ultimately come from the Hen, unless it was made by scientists back in 3000BC which is unlikely. So the question is a trick question and i don’t think it was meant to be answered. It is a rhetorical question like: If a tree falls in the middle of a forest, does it still make a sound?

It seems quite simple to me, the first ever chicken had to have been born of an egg, that is one of the things that clasifies it as a chicken. If you then use the exuse of the animal that laid the egg, it had to have come from an egg itself, or it would not be a chicken at all. So undenaibly it is the EGG.
