GMAC Insurance released a national test similar to the one that you have to take to get your Learner’s Permit.
Well, the results are in, and it shows that one in 11 drivers would fail the written test if they took it again.
The state with the most drivers who aren’t familiar with the rules is Rhode Island (ranked last last year, also). Northeastern drivers scored the lowest on the test with the exception of Vermont which scored third out of 50 states.
Drivers in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia ranked at the bottom.
The failure rate for drivers in northeastern states was about 16 percent, according to GMAC Insurance.
Take the test (currently down because many want to take the test)
