Kentucky Family Fights to Keep Pet Lion

The Collins’ have 12 dogs and a lizard, but now they also have a Kitty.

Yes, I capitalized the word “kitty” for a reason. The Collins’ Kitty is a 400 pound cat that the neighbors and city is trying to get rid of.

Kitty came to the family when he was just a 5 pound cub but now he is living in a 300 square foot chain link cage.

On Friday, a county ordinance that would keep out animals deemed as “inherently dangerous” will go up for a vote. If it gets enough votes, then Kitty will have to find a new home.

Currently, nobody in the neighborhood is allowed to own exotic and dangerous animals, but the Collins’ have owned Kitty way before the law was passed, so they are allowed to keep Kitty.
