Watch them run through long grass. Look in the grass… The Hobbits are wearing shoes! But throughout the rest of the movie, they’re barefoot.
When Gandalf and Saruman are talking at one point Gandalf is holding his staff and he has a leather strap around his finger, then it cuts to Saruman then when it cuts back to Gandalf the strap is gone.
After the battle with the cave troll, Aragorn rushes over to the injured Frodo and brushes past some large rocks which wobble, showing that they are clearly lightweight and not real.
The hobbit guys are smaller than the rest of the characters. Fine. But in some scenes, it’s obvious that they used either children or little people to complete the effect. In one scene, Bilbo shakes hands with Gandalf and you can see Gandalf’s larger hands are fake.
In some scenes Frodo has a zit, and in some scenes he doesn’t. When the fellowship is rowing down river Anduin, you can clearly see Frodo’s got a spot on his chin covered with makeup. When they row ashore, it’s gone.
When Frodo is taken to Rivendell, he is lying in bed with Gandalf sitting next to the bed watching over him. When Frodo is just waking up and starts to lean up, you can clearly see the ring on the chain. The camera switches to Gandalf, and then back to Frodo, but the ring and chain are gone. All you see is the bandage.
Some where in the scenes when the ugly pig people are attacking everyone in the forest… Legolas shots an arrow and then goes for another one, but he can’t reach it! It cuts to the next scene very quickly so you have to watch closely.
When a meeting is held in Rivendell and the ring is placed in the center, the dwarf gets up and hits the ring with his axe, breaking his axe into pieces on the table in the center. Then the broken axe pieces disappear. But then suddenly, they reappear!
When Aragorn bows over the dying Boromir there’s a pretty clear goof you can see for several times. When the shot is from behind Aragorn, Boromir has his hand on Aragorn’s shoulder, when you see them from the side, Boromir’s right hand is lying flat down on the ground.
In the shots just before Frodo tries to leave by himself for Mordor the tears on his face swap sides for no reason.
