Have you ever had a two hour nap and you woke up feeling more refreshed than the time you took a 13 hour nap? Well, that’s because waking up feeling refreshed is a matter of waking up in the correct stage in the sleep cycle. If something interrupts you during deep sleep (rapid eye movement sleep), then you will wake up feeling groggy, and you’ll probably want to kill something. Maybe toss that alarm clock across the room. If you wake up in the lighter stages of sleep, then you’ll wake up feeling great, even though you’re running on two hours of sleep. Weird, huh?
Well, there’s an alarm clock called aXbo Sleep Phase Alarm Clock that promises to wake you up not during deep sleep so that you’ll wake up refreshed. To use, simply put on the wireless wristband, set the time you need to wake up no matter what, and the aXbo alarm clock will attempt to detect the right time to wake you up, within a specified time window (e.g. 30 minutes).
The axbo alarm clock sells for $244.
