It has proved one of the most radical yet popular ideas of the internet age: a free online encyclopedia that anybody can contribute to and edit. But is Wikipedia a reliable source of information, or is it filled with inaccuracy and hoaxes?
Both encyclopedias are very accurate when it comes to supplying information pertaining to science. Nature, a magazine, decided to study how well Wikipedia vie with Britannica, and the results are pretty impressive. Wikipedia and Britannica both have somewhat similar number of errors (Wikipedia has more).
